About Stavros Lomvardas, PhD
Assistant Professor, UCSF Department of Anatomy
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Crete, Stavros moved to NYC where he obtained both his Masters in Genetics and PhD in Biochemistry from Columbia University under the mentorship of Dr. Dimitris Thanos. After completing his postdoctoral training with Dr. Richard Axel at Columbia University, Lomvardas joined the Anatomy faculty at UCSF in December 2006.
